The Taunton Deane Borough (Barlinch Close, Taunton) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that Taunton Deane Borough Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving/riding of motor vehicles along Barlinch Close from its junction with Eastwick Road, Taunton, to its junction with Pickeridge Close, Taunton, a distance of approximately 102 metres.   Exemptions will be made in the Order to enable local residents to gain access to their premises and to permit emergency services vehicles.   Full details of the proposals are in the draft Order, which together with a map showing the location of the road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, during normal office hours.   If you wish to object to the proposed Order, to make representations in support of the proposal, you should send your grounds for objection in writing to reach the undersigned by 6th February 1998.
