LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
Sutton (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) (No. 1) (Amendment No. 13) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above-mentioned Order on 19th January 1998, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The principal objectives are that the proposed bays shall provide for disabled persons: (a) a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult; and (b) a parking facility in a local shopping area where parking regularly occurs making reasonable means of access difficult.   The general effect of this Order will be:   (i) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at the following locations:       (a) outside No. 263 Collingwood Road, Sutton, to operate at all times;       (b) outside No. 13 Friars Court, Harcourt Road, Wallington, to operate at all times;       (c) outside No. 112 Matlock Crescent, Cheam, to operate at all times;       (d) outside No. 5-6 Ware Court, St. Alban’s Road, to operate at all times;       (e) outside No. 44-52 The Mount, Coulsdon, to operate at all times;       (f) outside No. 146 Garendon Road, Morden, to operate at all times.   (ii) to revoke the disabled persons’ parking bays in the following locations:       (a) outside No. 68 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton;       (b) outside No. 17 Bridle Path, Wallington;       (c) outside No. 16 and 18 Stavordale Road, Carshalton;       (d) outside No. 65 Wendling Road, Carshalton;       (e) outside No. 16 Shrewsburey Road, Carshalton;       (f) outside No. 8 Wallace Crescent, Carshalton.   [Objections have been received to the proposed disabled persons’ parking bays outside No. 3 St. John’s Road, and outside No. 9 Stoneleigh Road, Carshalton, and therefore they were withdrawn].   A copy of the Order, which will come into effect on Monday, 26th January 1998, and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, can be examined at (i) Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton; and (ii) Environmental Services, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton; on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.   If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of this Act or of any Instrument made under this Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
