LONDON BOROUGH OF HARINGEY
The Haringey (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. ) (Amendment No. ) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that, the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  The general effect of the Order would be to prevent congestion, reduce accidents and promote the free flow of traffic in these congested roads. The effected roads are set out below:

  Hornsey Lane; Cholmeley Park; Priory Road; Philip Lane; Vicarage Road; Summersby Road; West Road; Perth Road; Vale Road; Eade Road; White Hart Lane, Tottenham; Nightingale Lane; Park Lane; Worcester Avenue; Brantwood Road; Ennis Road; Markfield Road; Constable Crescent

  The prohibitions referred to in the above paragraph do not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in certain circumstances e.g. the picking up or setting down of passengers; the carrying out of statutory powers or duties; the taking in of petrol from road side petrol stations; to licensed street traders etc. The usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ “Orange Badge” does apply.
  A copy of the proposed Order and the Order of 1994 which this Order amends, a map indicating the effect of the Order and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected between 9 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of the period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at:

  (i) Legal Service, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green N22 4TR.
  (ii) Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, Hornsey N.8.

  Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of his/her objections and the grounds of objection to the Legal Service, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road N22 4TR, quoting Ref. LEG/TAD/3982/3989, within the aforementioned period of 21 days, i.e. by 12th February 1998.
