The A628 Trunk Road (Manchester Road, Tintwistle and Hollingworth) 30 and 40 m.p.h. Speed Limit Order 199

The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order will be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the A628 trunk road (Manchester Road) in the counties of Derbyshire and Greater Manchester, from a point 46 metres west of its junction with Crossgate Lane to a point 110 metres south of the County Boundary, and a 30 miles per hour speed limit on the A628 Manchester Road, Hollingworth, from a point 110 metres south of the County Boundary to a point 200 metres south of the County Boundary.   A copy of the draft Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and a copy of the statement of reasons may be inspected during normal working hours at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, Environmental Services Department, Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-u-Lyne, Tameside; Tintwistle Parish Council, Council Offices, 99 Manchester Road, Tintwistle, Glossop SK14 7LN; Information Officer, The Court House, Market Place, Hollingworth, or may be seen by application to the office of the Director, The Highways Agency, Room 705, Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE.   Any person wishing to object to the Secretary of State’s proposals to make the Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Highways Agency at the address given above quoting NNMD/1000/28/21/1.
