The West Wiltshire District (Off-Street Parking Places) (Variation) Order 1997

Notice is hereby given that the West Wiltshire District Council has made an Order under section 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order shall come into effect on 7th February 1998.   The effect of the variation Order will be to modify the West Wiltshire (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1996 as follows:   (a) to include in the Order the car parking area under the control of Wales and West Passenger Trains Ltd., at the Station, Bradford-on-Avon, (as shown in the Schedule below);   (b) to increase the maximum length of stay in Bridge Street Car Park, Bradford-on-Avon, (as shown in the Schedule below) from 1 hour to 2 hours;   (c) to remove from the Order the land marked by hatched lines adjacent to St. Margaret’s Hall, Bradford-on-Avon;   (d) to remove from the Order the 5 parking spaces in King Street Car Park, Melksham, controlled by the Lifeline Centre, Melksham;   (e) Season Tickets will be valid for stays of up to 23 hours in all West Wiltshire District Council car parks except Church Street, Trowbridge;   (f) to designate dual-use bays for use by disabled drivers or drivers accompanied by children aged up to 3 years;   (g) to delete from the Order any provisions requiring vehicles parked in any parking place to display a valid vehicle excise licence.   A copy of the Order may be seen during normal office hours at the offices of West Wiltshire District Council, Bradley Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
