Proposals to Change Hours of Operation to Limited Time Pay and Display Parking Places in Lower Addiscombe Road

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Croydon propose to make a Traffic Order under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Regulation (Parking) Act 1986.   The general effect of the Order would be:   (a) to revoke and re-introduce the designated pay and display bays in Lower Addiscombe Road so that they operate between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays;   (b) to extend the maximum period for waiting in a parking place from 30 minutes to one hour; and   (c) to provide that the charge for leaving a vehicle vary from 10p for fifteen minutes up to 40p (maximum) for 1 hour (maximum) with no return within two hours.   A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of a map which indicates the lengths of road to which the proposed Order relates, can be inspected for a period of 28 days from the date of this notice during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Public Services and Works Department, London Borough of Croydon on 0181 686 4433 extension 4905.   Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Ordermaking Section, Public Services and Works Department, Room 15-07, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, quoting the reference TH/SJC/LAR within the aforementioned period of 28 days.
