LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
The Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No.   ) Traffic Order 199 

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The effects of the Order would be:   (a) to amend the Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. 4) Traffic Order 1983, so as to permit vehicles proceeding in The Broadway, West Ealing, to make a right turn into Bedford Road;   (b) to impose one way working, from south to north, in that length of Bedford Road that extends from its junction with The Broadway, West Ealing to its junction with Witham Road;   (c) to impose one way working, from east to west, in Witham Road; and   (d) save as in Article 5, to prohibit vehicles from proceeding in that length of Bedford Road that extends from its junction with Witham Road to its junction with Bayham Road.   Waiting restrictions, operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, will be imposed on the new length of Witham Road.   Exemption has been provided in the Order so that nothing in paragraph 2 above shall apply to:   (a) any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in certain circumstances;   (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or   (c) anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Metropolitan Police.   Nothing in Article 2(d) of this Notice shall apply:   (a) to a pedal cycle; or   (b) to any vehicle requiring access to premises on the length of street specified in that Article.   A copy of the proposed Order, of the Order being amended, and a plan showing the location may be inspected during a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at BRETS Reception, 24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing W5 2BP.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Engineering Services Manager, BRETS, 24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing W5 2BP, within 21 days of the date on which this Notice is published.
