The Taunton Deane Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Various Streets in Taunton) (No. 48 Amendment) Order 1998.

Public notice affecting the Bridge/Bridge Street, St. James’ Street, Coal Orchard, South Road and Stoke Road, Taunton

Notice is hereby given that Taunton Deane Borough Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time:

   The Bridge/Bridge Street, on both sides from a point approximately 10 metres north of its junction with St. James Street and North Street northwards to its junction with Staplegrove Road/Station Road.
   St. James’ Street :
      (i) on the south side from a point approximately 89 metres east of its junction with North Street eastwards to its junction with Canon Street;
      (ii) on the north side from a point approximately 105 metres east of its junction with North Street eastwards to its junction with Canon Street.

   Coal Orchard, on both sides for the whole length.
   South Road, on the eastern side from the common boundary of Nos. 131-133 south-eastwards for a distance of approximately 110 metres to its junction with Shoreditch Road.
   Stoke Road:
      (i) on the south side from its junction with South Road south-eastwards for a distance of approximately 10 metres; and
      (ii) on the north side from its junction with South Road south-eastwards for a distance of approximately 15 metres.

  Full details of the proposals are in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the location of the roads and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, during normal office hours.
  If you wish to object to the proposed Order, or make representations in support of the proposals, you should send your grounds, in writing, to reach the undersigned by 6th March 1998.
