The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No.  ) Order 1997 Park Lane and Surrounding Streets

Notice is hereby given that the Westminister City Council propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order would be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, so that in the lengths of the streets specified in the Schedule to this notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on:   (a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be changed so that it would apply at any time; and   (b) waiting by vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the same place for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be changed so that it would apply between 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week.   The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday to Fridays inclusive at Hyder Consulting Ltd., 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decide not to make the Order.   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Department of Environment and Planning, telephone 0171-641 1956.   Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Hyder Consulting Ltd., 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, quoting Ref. Hamilton Place:   (a) north-east side, between a point 151.2 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Piccadilly and a point 159.7 metres north-west of that kerb-line;   (b) the south-west side, between a point 59.7 metres north-west of the party wall of Nos. 4 and 5 Hamilton Place and a point 73.7 metres north-west of that party wall. Hertford Street:   (a) the south-east side, between a point 3.1 metres north-east of the south-western wall of No. 19 Old Park Lane and a point 2.2 metres south-west of that wall;   (b) the carriageway immediately surrounding the roundabout situated in Hertford Street at the junction of Park Lane, Old Park Lane and Hamilton Place;   (c) the inner side of the roundabout situated in Hertford Street at the junction of Park Lane, Old Park Lane and Hamilton Place. Park Lane, the north-east side of the north-easternmost carriageway of Park Lane immediately fronting the London Hilton Hotel, between the north-western kerb-line of Hertford Street and a point 18 metres north-west of that kerb-line. 9th February 1998.
