The A16 Trunk Road (Grimsby Road, Louth, Lincolnshire) (Derestriction) Order 19

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 82(2) and 83(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A16 Trunk Road at Louth in Lincolnshire.   The effect of the Order would be to remove the 30 m.p.h. speed limit automatically imposed by the provision of street lighting on the length of the A16 between points 735 metres north and 70 metres south of its junction with North Holme Road and to restore the national speed limit of 60 m.p.h.   A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Lincolnshire County Council, County Offices, Newland, Lincoln; East Lindsey District Council, Tedder Hall, Manby Park, Louth, Lincolnshire, or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services (Midland), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL.   Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the grounds of objection and quoting Ref. 5065/28/8/A16/01 not later than 6th March 1998.
