Public Notice affect B3227 between Wiveliscombe and Milverton

The Taunton Deane Borough (B3227 Wiveliscombe and Milverton, Somerset) (Prohibition of Waiting and Clearways) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that Taunton Deane Borough Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1), to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:   (a) to prohibit the waiting of vehicles on the main carriageway and adjacent verges;   (b) to prohibit the loading and unloading of vehicles on the main carriageway and adjacent verges;   (c) to prohibit trading from the laybys to and the verges of the main carriageway on that part of the B3227 (The Milverton By-pass)       from the point approximately 97 metres north-east of its junction with Nordens Meadow at Wiveliscombe in a generally westerly direction to a point approximately 73 metres north-westwards of its junction with the B3187 at Milverton.   The existing Order titled “The Trunk Road (A361) (Somerset) (Prohibition of Waiting and Clearways) Order 1978” will be revoked.   Full details of the proposals are in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the location of the road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, during normal office hours.   If you wish to object to the proposed Order, or make representations in support of the proposals, you should send your grounds in writing to reach the undersigned by 13th March 1998.
