TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1980

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Royal County of Berkshire) (No. 1) Order 1988”, authorising the stopping-up of two areas of highway land at Heywoods Farm adjacent to RUPP8, Snowball Hill, White Waltham, Maidenhead, in the Royal County of Berkshire.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the office of the Head of Transport West, Government Office for the South East, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford, Surrey GU1 4GA (quoting reference GOSE/029/001/BERK/010). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Aston House, 12-16 York Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 1PS.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 20th February 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.   General enquiries relating to this notice may be made in writing to Abrahim Raidan at the Government Office for the South East at the address stated above or by telephoning 01483-882414.
