The Taunton Deane Borough (Box Junction) (No. 6) (Paul Street, Taunton) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that Taunton Deane Borough Council on 18th February 1998, made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and Part III of Schedule 9 of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving of vehicles into a cross-hatched yellow box junction bounded by a yellow line placed on the north-eastern half of the carriageway of Paul Street, Taunton (immediately outside the junction into the new Marks and Spencer car park), approximately 25 metres from its junction with Mary Street/Billetfield.
  The prohibition will not apply in relation to vehicles used for Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance or civil defence purposes.
  The Order will come into operation on 30th April 1998. A copy of the Order and map showing the location of the road may be inspected at The Dean House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, during normal office hours.
  Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained therein, on the grounds that they were not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from 27th February 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
