TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Taunton Deane Borough (Bradford-on-Tone A38) (50 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that on 18th February 1998, Taunton Deane Borough Council made an Order under sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to impose a 50 m.p.h. speed limit on the following sections of roads:
   A38 Heatherton Grange:

  (a) from a point 170 metres south-west of its junction with the Class III road leading to Ham/Nynehead running in a north-easterly direction for approximately 158 metres to a point 290 metres north-east of the Heatherton Grange crossroads.
  (b) on the adjoining roads leading to Bradford-on-Tone and West Buckland, for a distance of approximately 40 metres and 140 metres respectively.

  The existing de-restriction Order titled “The Taunton Deane Borough (Bradford-on-Tone A38) (Speed De-restriction) Order 1986” will be revoked where it relates to the above lengths of roads.
  The Order will come into operation on 30th April 1998. A copy of the Order and map showing the location of the road may be inspected at The Dean House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, during normal office hours.
  Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained therein, on the grounds that they were not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from 27th February 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
