SOLIHULL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Metropolitan Borough of Solihull (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Main
Road, Meriden) Order 1998 (Amendment No. 2) Order 199
Notice is hereby given that the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council proposes to
make the above-mentioned Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
The effect of the Order, if implemented, will be to amend the current 6 p.m. to
12 midnight restriction of waiting to now become a total prohibition of waiting zone
at all times along:
(a) the south-western side of Main Road from its junction with Strawberry Fields
in a south-easterly direction to a point in the vicinity of the Garage and Hotel premises;
(b) the north-easterly side of Main Road for a short distance either side of its
junction with Fairfield Rise; and
(c) both sides of Fairfield Rise, for a short distance at its junction with Main
Road.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map and details of the Council’s reasons
for proposing to make it, may be inspected at the Council Offices, Solihull, during
normal office hours.
Anyone wishing to object to the above proposals should do so, in writing, to the
address given below by Tuesday, 17th March 1998, quoting Ref. LS/596.00.
