The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No.  ) Order 199

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
  2. The general effect of the Parking Place Order would be to:

  (a) shorten a certain 2-hour pay and display parking place in Rochester Row by two bays;
  (b) provide that in respect of the pay and display parking place, the classes of vehicles for which it would be available, the hours which it would operate and all the time limits during which vehicles may be left in the parking place would remain unchanged.

  3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, so that in the lengths of the streets specified in the Schedule to this notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on:

  (a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle), would be changed so that it would apply at any time;
  (b) waiting by vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the same place for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be changed so that it would apply between 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week.

  4. The Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday to Fridays inclusive, at Hyder Consulting Ltd., 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decided not to make the Orders.

  6. Any objections or other representations about either of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Hyder Consulting Ltd., 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, quoting Ref. WES1320/ORD/1789/CJ, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.

Schedule

  Emery Hill Street, the south-west side, between the north-western kerb-line of Rochester Row and a point 6.7 metres north-west of that kerb-line.

  Rochester Row:
    (a) the north-west side, between the south-western kerb-line of Emery Hill Street and a point 15.4 metres south-west of that kerb-line;
    (b) the south-east side, between the south-western kerb-line of the north-east arm of Vincent Square and a point 22 metres south-west of that kerb-line.

  Vincent Square, the north-eastern arm, the south-west side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Rochester Row and a point 7.6 metres south-east of that kerb-line.

  Warwick Way, between a point 4 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Upper Tachbrook Street and a point 18 metres south-west of that kerb-line.
