Notice of Traffic Management Order

The London Borough of Southwark (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark, on 5th March 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order is to consolidate the Orders listed in the Schedule to this notice.   A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 9th March 1998 can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which this Order was made in the Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES.   Further information may be obtained from Carol Quamina, Southwark Regeneration & Environment (Traffic Group), Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, telephone 0171-525 5320.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the date on which this Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
