Highway verge adjacent to 10 Castle Road, Tipton, West Midlands

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell) (No. 1) Order 1998 authorising the stopping-up of a length of highway verge adjacent to 10 Castle Road, Tipton, West Midlands.   The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this Notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, on 18th August 1997, under reference DC/97/33487, as amended by plan dated 4th November 1997, and further amended 11th November 1997.   Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting 5107/35/1/25) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Wigmore, Pennyhill Lane, West Bromwich, Sandwell, West Midlands B71 3RZ.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 10th March 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
