CITY OF WESTMINSTER
The City of Westminster and Camden (Prescribed Route) (No.  ) Order 199 

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, with the agreement of the London Borough of Camden, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   2. The general effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from entering Norfolk Road at its junction with Avenue Road (but this would not apply to a pedal cycle entering the carriageway on the south-east side of the island site to be constructed at the junction of Norfolk Road and Avenue Road).   3. The prohibition referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply to:   (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform;   (b) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to section 66 or section 67 of the Road Traffic Act 1984.   4. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected between 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, in One Stop Services, City Hall, 62 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6QP.   5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Mr. P. Kilroy, of The Project Centre Limited, the Council’s agents in this matter, on 0171-278 9396.   6. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, The Project Centre Limited, 61-71 Collier Street, London N1 9BE, quoting the reference PCL/PK/LB32/141/1111 within a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
