Local Inquiry into proposed Stopping-up of an area of Higher Brook Street (A379), Teignmouth, Devon

Notice is hereby given that a local inquiry is to be held in connection with the proposal by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, authorising the stopping-up of an area of Higher Brook Street (A379), and an adjoining private means of access, at Teignmouth, Devon. If authorised, the stopping-up would remove all rights of way by the public over the areas in question.   Copies of the proposed Order may be obtained, free of charge, upon application to the Secretary of State (quoting Ref. GOSW(T) 5051/35/1/295) at his address at the Government Office for the South West (Transport), 5th Floor, The Pithay, Bristol BS1 2PB, or by telephoning 0117-900 1865   The inquiry will be held at the offices of Teignmouth Town Council, Bitton House, Teignmouth, Devon TQ14 9DF, on Tuesday, 16th June 1998, at 10 a.m. by F.
