The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 4) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of PRP Project Services he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 4) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of highway land at the service road which runs parallel with Canterbury Way, from a point adjacent to the rear of Nos. 81-124 Canterbury Way, Thetford, Norfolk to enable development consisting of the demolition of redundant garages and the provision of new parking areas accessed off Canterbury Way as part of the external environmental improvement scheme at 81-124 Canterbury Way, Thetford to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Peddars Way Housing Association Ltd by Beckland District Council on 21st October 1997 under Ref. 3/97/1033/F.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/F2605/35/1/09) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Norfolk County Council Planning and Transportation Southern Area Office, High Street, Watton, Thetford, and displayed on the notice board outside of the offices of Thetford Town Council, Kingshouse, Thetford.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 30th April 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
