Notice of deposit of proposals for a local plan
North Dorset Local Plan (1st Revision)

Notice is hereby given that North Dorset District Council have prepared proposals for the above local plan. If, and when, these plan proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for North Dorset District Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.   Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection at the following locations:    Blandford: Council Offices, Nordon, Salisbury Road, Blandford Forum, Dorset, on Monday to Thursday, 8.40 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday, 8.40 a.m. to 4 p.m.    Gillingham: Town Council Office, The Magistrates’ Court, School Road, Gillingham, Dorset, on Monday to Friday, 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.    Shaftesbury: Town Council Office, Town Hall, Shaftesbury, Dorset, on Monday to Friday, 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.    Stalbridge: Community Office, Manchester House, High Street, Stalbridge, Dorset, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.    Sturminster Newton: Town Council Office, 1 Old Market Cross House, Market Cross, Sturminster Newton, Dorset, on Monday to Friday (excluding Wednesday), 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.   Objections to, and representations in respect of the proposals should be sent in writing to The Planning Policy Manager, North Dorset District Council, Nordon, Salisbury Road, Blandford, Dorset DT11 7LL, before 5 p.m., on 25th June 1998.   Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals.   Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending on 25th June 1998, will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or hearing.   Further information is available from Local Plans and Conservation on 01258 484201 and 01258 484210.

Notice of intention to adopt proposals
