The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 6) Order 1998
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of Nabarro Nathanson, on behalf of Eagle Star Life Assurance Company Limited, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 6) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of areas and parts of highways consisting of lengths of Old Sunway, Broad Street, St Dominic’s Square, Baxters Plain, New Conduit Street, Sedgeford Lane, Vancouver Court and highway between Norfolk Street and Broad Street, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and requiring the provision of new highway to enable development consisting of the demolition of existing premises, refurbishment of those retained and construction of new premises for A1, A2 and A3 use together with servicing and parking to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Threadneedle Property Fund Managers Ltd. by King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council on 7th August 1997, under Ref. 2/97/0552/F. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GTA/2635/35/1/11) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the office of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn PE30 1EX. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provisions contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 22nd May 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
