TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping-up of a part of the southern footway of Wormwood Street, London E.C.2.   If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to GMW Partnership by the Corporation of London on 27th September 1994 under reference T.P. Register Number: P27812.   Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during 28 days commencing on 5th June 1998 at the offices of the City of London, Guildhall, Basinghall Street, London E.C.2 and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for London (quoting reference LRO 34/K5830/1/059) at the address stated below.   Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order within the period of 28 days commencing on 5th June 1998 by notice to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, quoting the above reference, at the Government Office for London, Transport Management Division, 8/W19 Riverswalk House, 157-161 Millbank, London SWIP 4RR.   In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.   This notice supersedes that published on 20th April 1998 in that a further period of 28 days from 5th June 1998 is given for inspecting the draft Order and relevant plan and for objecting to the making of the Order.   The proposals referred to in the earlier notice are unaltered and any objections made to the Secretary of State in response to that notice will be considered as still standing unless the Secretary of State is advised otherwise by the objectors.
