Proposed Stopping-up of Highway (footway) adjacent to 34 Church Street, Falmouth, in the County of Cornwall

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 253 of the above Act, which will authorise the Stopping-up of Highway (Footway) adjacent to 34 Church Street, Falmouth.   The proposed Order will not be made unless planning permission for the development described in the Schedule to this notice is granted, and in that event the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with that planning permission. Planning permission for that development was applied for by Carrick District Council on 3rd June 1998 under application number PA 02/801/98/S.   Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 10th September 1998 at the offices of Falmouth Town Council, Municipal Buildings, The Moor, Falmouth and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the South West (quoting reference GOSW(T)5048/35/1/073) at the address stated below.   Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order within the period of 28 days commencing on 10th September 1998 by notice to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, quoting the above reference, at the Government Office for the South West (Transport), 5th Floor, The Pithay, Bristol BS1 2PB.   In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.   This notice is given by virtue of section 253 of the above Act.
