A Statute made by the Governing Body of Churchill College in the University of Cambridge, on 21st December 1999, amending Statutes XXIX and XXXVI, has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been so submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923. The purpose of the amendments to Statute XXIX is to update the requirements of students of the College to conform to the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations of the College. The purpose of the addition to Statute XXXVI is to prevent the invalidation of any act taken purportedly with authority of the College that fails to conform to the Statutes and Ordinances unless and until a final determination is made by the Governing Body.
