The Queen has been pleased by Warrant bearing date 6 November 2006 to direct the issue of a Commission under the Great Seal appointed to be kept and made use of in place of the Great Seal of Scotland appointing Mr John Lawrence Duncan, QPM, to be Lord Lieutenant for the Area of Ayrshire and Arran.
