PETERBOROUGH ROAD AREA, E11 - SAFER ROUTES TO SCHOOL

SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR RESTRICTIONS AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the amendment to the Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Consolidation Order 2008, would be that waiting by vehicles would be prohibited at any time:-
    • a on all arms, (unless a specific side of the road is mentioned), of the junctions specified in Schedule 1A to this Notice for a distance of up to 26.00 metres in all directions. (In most cases the restrictions will only extend for approximately 8 metres at each junction)
    • b on the length of road specified in Schedule 1B to this Notice.
  • 3 The general effect of the amendment to the Waltham Forest (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) Traffic Order 1996 would be to impose mandatory school keep clear restrictions, operative between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive during school term time, on that length of the north-west side of Forest Road, E11 that extends between a point 2.00 metres south-west of a point opposite the north-eastern boundary of No. 1 Forest Road and a point 14.00 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of St. Andrew’s Road.
  • 4 Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Orders being amended, together with the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders and bus stop clearways can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at:-
    • a The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17;
    • b The Reception Desk, The London Borough of Waltham Forest, Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS;
    • c The Waltham Forest Direct Shop, 772-776 High Road, Leyton, E10.
  • 5 Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Councils’ Agents, TMO Services, 4 Snell Gardens, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 7SU, quoting reference ET/NB/TMO/WF184 to be received by 1st September 2008.
