New family history show announced: Family Tree Live
Family Tree Live will take place on 26 and 27 April 2019 at London’s Alexandra Palace.
This new UK family history show will involve two days of lectures, workshops, displays and stands, which are suitable for all levels of family history experience.
The two days will include traditional lectures, hands-on workshops, a DNA hub, advice stations and family-friendly activities.
Family Tree magazine and the Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS) are teaming up to host the event. Family Tree is the UK’s longest established family history magazine, and has been sharing genealogy advice with thousands of readers for more than 30 years. The FFHS is an educational charity, with over 160 member societies worldwide.
Steve Manning, education officer at the Federation of Family History Societies, says:
"The Federation is delighted to be supporting Family Tree Live. A national event like this provides visitors with the opportunity to find out about
their ancestors wherever they came from, with local knowledge and expertise provided
by our family history societies."
