On November 30th 2016, the London Borough of Hackney by resolution of Full Council, set the appointed day of 16th January 2017 to adopt sections 4 (except subsection (13)) and 5 of the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2013 (“the Act”).

The adopted sections concern the attachment of street lamps and signs to buildings. This will enable Council to produce schemes that minimise street pole clutter by using building attachments rather than tradition street poles.

This notice has been published in accordance section 3(4) of the Act.

The provisions will come into effect on the appointed day, 16th January 2017, as per section 1(3)(a) of the Act.
