FORMER OWNERS

The Ministry of Justice owns the lands adjoining HMP Morton Hall mentioned above which are to be transferred to another Government Department.

The Crichel Down Rules, as set out in the ODPM Circular 6-2004, require Government Departments under certain circumstances, to inform those persons from whom lands were acquired in the past that such transfer is to take place and it is now necessary to trace the former owners and their successors to advise them of such proposed transfer.

The lands adjoining HMP Morton Hall were acquired by a Conveyance dated 9 February 1949 between John Herbert Graham Torr (1) Coutts and Company (2) and The Secretary of State for Air (3)

The former owner of the lands adjoining HMP Morton Hall or his successors should write providing full evidence of their relationship to the original vendor within 2 months of the date of this notice to:
