The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Forest Reproductive Material (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019", (S.R. 2019 No. 50), which came into operation on 22nd March 2019.

These Regulations amends The Forest Reproductive Material Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 (S.R. 2002 No 404). The amendments set out the revised requirements which apply in Northern Ireland in relation to forest reproductive material produced in countries outside the European Union.

It implements Council Decision 2008/971/EC on the equivalence of forest reproductive material produced in third countries.
