THE PLANT HEALTH (WOOD AND BARK) (AMENDMENT NO. 2) ORDER (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2019

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Plant Health (Wood and Bark) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2019", (S.R. 2019 No. 162), which came into operation on 1st September 2019.

This Order amends the Plant Health (Wood and Bark) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 (S.R. 2006 No. 66) to implement Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1503, establishing measures to prevent the introduction into and spread within the Union of Aromia bungii (Faldermann); Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1959, strengthening measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of Agrilus Planipennis (Fairmaire) through wood originating in Canada and the USA; and Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2019/523 amending Annexes I to V to Council Directive 2000/29/EC on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community.
