The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Public Health Notifiable Diseases Order (Northern Ireland) 2020", (S.R. 2020 No. 23), which comes into operation on 29th February 2020.

This Order adds Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to the list of notifiable diseases under the Public Health Act (Northern Ireland) 1967.
