The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Planning Act 2011 (Review) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020” (S.R. 2020 No. 218), which comes into operation on 2 November 2020.

Section 228 of the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 requires the Department to review and publish a report on the implementation of the Act 3 years after the commencement of Part 3 of the Act and at least once in every 5 years after that. This Statutory Rule sets out the terms of the review.
