The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings)(Amendment No.6) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 ", (S.R. 2021 No. 274), which come into operation at 6pm on 30 September 2021

This rule amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 to clarify that when in a relevant place, a person is exempt from wearing a face covering when actively consuming food or drink.
