The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022", (S.R. 2022 No. 006), come into at the time they are made.

This rule amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 by making a number of minor amendments to align with policy intent. These include amending the reasons a person is permitted to leave their seat in a theatres, concert halls, conference and exhibition venues and other indoor venues from accessing a table to accessing a seat and to insert a sentence to clarify the definition of a standing event No changes made have altered the policy intent.
