At 10am on 10 January 2023 the Council intends to apply to the Teesside Magistrates Court sitting at Victoria Square Middlesbrough for an Order under the provisions of Section 116 Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping-up of the highway in Eston referred to in the Schedule hereto, on the grounds that the said highway is unnecessary.

A plan showing the highway proposed to be stopped-up has been deposited at the offices of the Director of Corporate Resources, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar TS10 1RT and may be inspected there free of charge between 10am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday or online at Permanent highway notices | Redcar and Cleveland (redcar-cleveland.gov.uk)
