STOPPING UP OF SECTIONS OF HIGHWAY IN THE TEMPLE NEWSAM, ADEL AND WHARFEDALE AND OTLEY AND YEADON WARDS OF LEEDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council intends to apply to the Leeds District Magistrates Court sitting at The Courthouse, Westgate, Leeds on 22 March 2023 at 10am for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping up of the below sections of highway described in the Schedule hereto on the ground that they are unnecessary or can be re-diverted. The sections of highway to be stopped up are shown in red on the plans deposited at Leeds City Council, Legal Services, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR and may be inspected there free of charge during normal office hours. You can also request a copy of the plans (without payment) by contacting Leeds City Council using the below contact details.
Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make representations about it, may appear at the Leeds District Magistrates Court on the date aforesaid. SCHEDULE - DESCRIPTIONS OF SECTIONS OF HIGHWAY TO BE STOPPED UP
1. A section of a highway named Kendal Drive in the Temple Newsam ward of Leeds comprising approximately 685 square metres;
2. A section of a highway named St David’s Road in the Otley and Yeadon ward of Leeds comprising approximately 18.1 square metres; and
3. A highway named Sandbed Lane in Adel and Wharfdale, Leeds with a length of approximately 600 metres.
