THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A601(M) PARTIAL REVOCATION) SCHEME 2022

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under sections 16 of the Highways Act 1980 the effect of which is to revoke "the Lancashire County Council (Carnforth Link) Special Road Scheme 1985" insofar as it relates to a route of 1.38 kilometres starting at Junction 35 of the M6 Motorway proceeding in a generally northerly direction up to and including the Junction 35A roundabout at the A6 north of Carnforth, from the date on which the Order comes into force.

Copies of the made Order and the plan referred to in it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at; the offices of Lancashire County Council, Pitt Street, Preston PR1 0LD; the offices of Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster LA1 1PJ; Carnforth Civic Hall, North Road, Carnforth LA5 9LJ; Crag Bank Village Hall, Jesson Way, Carnforth LA5 9EG; Carnforth Library of Lancaster Road, Carnforth, Lancashire LA5 9DZ; Savick Library of Main Road, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth LA5 8DN; and Silverdale Library, Emesgate Lane, Carnforth, LA5 0RA.

Copies of the Statutory Instrument entitled “the Lancashire County Council (A601(M) Partial Revocation) Scheme 2022 Confirmation Instrument 2023” can be purchased either through booksellers or direct from Government bookshops (The Stationery Office).

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of any regulations made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from 23 February 2023 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
