NOTICE is given that North East Lincolnshire Borough Council as Highway Authority for the County of North East Lincolnshire intends to apply to Grimsby Magistrates Court sitting at Victoria Street, Grimsby, DN31 1NH on Tuesday 13th June 2023 at 2:00pm for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of an area of the highway being land to the rear of 75 Caistor Road, Laceby, Grimsby, shown edged red on the attached plan (Plan) on the ground that the highway is unnecessary. The effect of the Order will be to extinguish all public rights of way over the said land.

A copy of the draft Order and Plan may be inspected free of charge at the Council Offices at Municipal Offices, Town Hall Square, Grimsby, DN31 1HU by appointment only by calling Legal Services on 01472 324149 and referring to the land to the rear of 75 Caistor Road, Laceby Stopping Up Order 2023.

Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application. Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates' Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Legal Services at Municipal Officers, Town Hall Square, Grimsby, DN31 1HU before the 13th June 2023.
