APPLICATION FOR THE STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS AT FULMER DRIVE, MANCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Manchester intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester on 1st June 2023 at 9.45am for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of the lengths of highway specified in the Schedule hereto on the ground that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the said highways may be inspected, without payment at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive. Due to COVID19 restrictions, please ensure that the Contact Centre is open before attending. If it is closed or you are unable to attend, a copy of the plan may be requested (without payment) by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or writing to the address below. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me in writing to the address below or email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk, quoting reference L/GS/EVD5001/1462 before the date of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

1. Footpath of width 2.3 metres commencing at the northernmost corner of the footway of Fulmer Drive and running in a north-westerly direction for 32 metres (shown as ‘1’ on the plan).

2. Footpath of minimum width 2.2 metres and maximum width 6.7 metres commencing at a point on Footpath ‘1’ at a distance of 22 metres from the northernmost corner of the footway of Fulmer Drive and running in a north-easterly direction for 10 metres (shown as ‘2’ on the plan).

3. Footpath of width of up to 2.1 metres commencing at the north-western end of Footpath ‘1’ and running in a south-westerly direction for 9.3 metres (shown as ‘3’ on the plan).

4. Footpath of width of up to 10 metres commencing at the westernmost corner of the footway of Fulmer Drive and running in a north-westerly direction for 10 metres (shown as ‘4’ on the plan).
