HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (A382 GREYCOAT LANE IMPROVEMENTS) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2023

The Devon County Council (‘the Council’) hereby give notice that they have made an Order under Sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to:-

(a) Improve a side road; and

(b) Stop up private means of access to premises; and

(c) Construct a new private means of access to premises

All on or in the vicinity of the route of the A382, Newton Abbot which the Council are proposing to improve between Trago Mills Roundabout and Forches Cross.

Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans may be inspected for free of charge at all reasonable hours from:

• Devon County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 4QD

• Teignbridge District Council, Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX

ANY PERSON may, not later than 7 December 2023, object to the confirmation of the Order by notice in writing to the Secretary of State for Transport, Department for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE47AR quoting the reference BLD/Greycoat Lane and stating the grounds for objection. In submitting an objection, it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will be passed to Devon County Council. This is so that the Council can contact you directly to address the issues raised. If any person does not wish personal data to be forwarded to the Council., they should state why when submitting the objection. The Secretary of State will copy the representations to the Council with the name and address removed and if there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.
