FORMER OWNER (CRICHEL DOWN) CONSIDERATIONS

LAND THAT WAS FORMERLY PART OF LANDS CALLED PENNAR ISAF, IN THE PARISH OF ABERPORTH IN THE COUNTY OF CARDIGAN (NOW CEREDIGION)

THE LAND NOW COMPRISES: THE PLAY GROUND, HILLSIDE ROAD, PARCLLYN, ABERPORTH

Land at the above location has been declared surplus to Ministry of Defence (MOD) requirements and is to be sold. The Crichel Down Rules require Government Departments, under certain circumstances, to offer back surplus land to the former owner or their successors in title at current market value, unless an exemption applies.

In this instance the land is not to be offered back because an exemption or exemptions apply. MOD would like to trace the former owner or successors in title to the former owner (as defined in the Crichel Down Rules) to notify them of the decision.

The Former Owners are:

Thomas Jones (Farmer) and Sarah Jones (Spinster) both of Pennar Isaf in the parish of Aberporth in the County of Cardigan in a Conveyance dated 28 December 1939

The former owners or their successor(s) in title (other than through purchase) should contact MOD in writing within two months of the date of this notice at:

John Jones, Senior Estates Surveyor, Land Management Services, Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Building 133A, Churchill Lines, St Athan, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan CF62 4NX

Successors in title should state and provide evidence of their relationship to the former owner and evidence to show that, had the land not been acquired by the MOD, it would have devolved under the former owner’s will or intestacy to the successor in title.
