Take notice that The North Yorkshire Council, being the highway authority for North Yorkshire, intends to apply to the York & Selby Magistrates’ Court sitting at Clifford Street, York, YO1 9RE at 10.00am on 19/07/24 for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 to authorise the stopping up of an area of highway at Markenfield Hall on the ground that it is unnecessary.

The effect of the Order will be that the land in question ceases to be part of the highway. A plan showing the proposed area of highway to be stopped up has been deposited at Ripon Library, The Arcade, Ripon HG4 1AG & may be inspected there free of charge during normal office hours; Stopping Up of Highway At Whinney Lane, Harrogate, Notice of Hearing in Magistrates’ Court

Plans showing the proposed areas of highway to be stopped up at Whinney Lane & Becklands Lane have been deposited at Harrogate Library, Victoria Avenue, Harrogate HG1 1EG & may be inspected there free of charge during normal office hours.
