Notice is hereby given that on 26 June 2024 Westminster City Council made The City of Westminster (Stopping Up of Highways) (No.5) Order 2024 under sub-section 247 (2A) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (“the 1990 Act”), the general effect of which is to authorise the stopping up of two parts of the highway Portsea Mews to enable development to be carried out on that highway.

The parts of the highway Portsea Mews that the order authorises to be stopped up comprise:

(a) a combined area of 144 square metres in the horizontalplane,

(b) the south-western cul-de-sac arm of Portsea Mews thatextends in a direction that is perpendicular to the middle line of that south-western arm by a distance of 6.3 metres across the 11.5 metres most of that arm of Portsea Mews;

(c) the north-eastern cul-de-sac arm of Portsea Mews thatextends in a direction that is perpendicular to the middle line of that north-eastern arm by a distance of 3.83 metres across the 0.79 metres north-west most of that arm of Portsea Mews,

(d) the south-eastwards continuation of that north-easterncul-de-sac arm of Portsea Mews that extends in a direction that is perpendicular to the middle line of that north-eastern arm by a distance of 6.8 metres across the next south-eastwards 10.11 metres length of that arm of Portsea Mews, parallel to the middle line of that cul-de-sac.

Any person aggrieved by the order who desires to question the order’s validity may make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Act within six weeks of the date this notice is first published.

This notice is given on the date 10 July 2024 by Westminster City Council pursuant to section 252 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
