STATION ROAD, N11 - PROVISION OF PEDESTRIAN REFUGE ISLANDS AND THE INTRODUCTION OF ‘AT ANY TIME’ WAITING RESTRICTIONS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) have made the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 255) Order 2024 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the Order which comes into operation on 17 July 2024 will be to introduce new “at any time” waiting restrictions in Station Road N11, on both sides of the road from a point 24.7 metres south-east of the southern kerb line of the southern entrance of the New Southgate Station service road, south eastwards for a distance of 26.6 metres.

3. FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield will be installing pedestrian refuge islands to be located in the middle of the carriageway at a point 38 metres southeast of the southern kerb line of the southern entrance of the New Southgate Station service road.

4. A copy of the Order, plan and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
