TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highways (North East) (No.15) Order 2024" authorising the stopping up of a length of unnamed highway to the north of Lord Nelson Street, two northern part widths of Lord Nelson Street, a length of Lord Nelson Street, two southern part widths of Lord Nelson Street, an eastern part width of Lord Nelson Street, a western part width of Lord Nelson Street, an irregular shaped eastern part width of Lord Nelson Street and an irregular shaped western part width of Lord Nelson Street at South Shields in the Metropolitan Borough of South Tyneside. This is to enable development as permitted by South Tyneside Council under reference ST/0805/23/FUL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5710. They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at The Word Library, 45 Market Place, South Shields, NE33 1DX

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 18 July 2024.
