KING HENRY'S ROAD AREA – 7.5 TONNE GOODS VEHICLES WEIGHT RESTRICTION

THE CAMDEN (GOODS VEHICLES WEIGHT RESTRICTION) (KING HENRY'S ROAD AREA) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden on 18 July 2024 has made the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Order will be to continue indefinitely the provisions of the Camden (Weight Limits) (King Henry's Road Area) Experimental Traffic Order 2023, that is:-

Goods vehicles having a maximum gross weight of over 7.5 tonnes are prohibited from entering into or proceeding in the following streets or lengths of streets:- ELSWORTHY ROAD - between the western kerb line of Elsworthy Rise and its junction with Avenue Road; ELSWORTHY RISE - between the northern kerb line of King Henry’s Road and its junction with Adelaide Road; ELSWORTHY TERRACE; HARLEY ROAD; KING HENRY’S ROAD - between the western kerb line of Elsworthy Rise and its junction with Harley Road; LOWER MERTON RISE; WADHAM GARDENS.

Goods vehicles having a maximum gross weight of over 7.5 tonnes are also prohibited from entering into that length of KING HENRY’S ROAD which lies to the west of its junction with Primrose Hill Road, from either Primrose Hill Road or that length of King Henry's Road which lies to the east of its junction with Primrose Hill Road.

Exception to the above restrictions is provided for access.

Copies of the Order, which will come into force on 19 July 2024, of the Experimental Order of 2023, and of other documents relating to the Order may be obtained by contacting traffic.orders@camden.gov.uk or may be inspected in person by appointment only at 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG, between the hours of 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays excluding bank and public holidays (please contact traffic.orders@camden.gov.uk to arrange an appointment).

Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
