PENSION SCHEME NOTICE

MERLIN PENSION SCHEME

(“THE SCHEME”)

Notice is hereby given on 29th July 2024, pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 (as amended) that the Scheme’s benefits are in the process of being secured with an insurance company, and that any person (whether member, creditor or other) having a claim against or claiming to be beneficially interested in the Scheme (whether as a member, widow, widower or other dependant of a member or otherwise) is required to submit details in writing of their claim or interest.

If you have been contacted by the Trustee or have received correspondence from the Trustee in the last two years, or if you are currently in receipt of a pension from the Scheme, there is no need to respond to this notice.

Scheme members may have been employees of the following companies:

1. The company (registered number 00815053) known as:

• Fardem Limited (July-August 1994)

• Merlin Flexible Packaging Limited (August 1994 to December 1998)

• Britton Merlin Limited (December 1998 to January 2014)

• Coveris Flexibles (Louth) UK Limited (February 2014 onwards)

2. The company (registered 02888971), known as Merlin Group Holdings Limited (1994 onwards)

If you believe you are still eligible for benefits, but have not recently been contacted by the Trustee, please contact Barnett Waddingham as the Scheme Administrators, via Barnett Waddingham LLP, Pinnacle, 67 Albion Street, Leeds, LS1 5AA or alternatively by email, Merlin@Barnett-Waddingham.co.uk. You should include details of your full name, your current address, National Insurance number, a note of any benefits to which you think you may be entitled and copies of any evidence that you can provide to confirm your entitlement. Alternatively, if you need clarification about the information required, please call 0333 1111 222.

Beneficiaries should make claims in writing to the address above not later than 2 months from the date of this notice. The Trustee is in the process of securing benefits with an insurance company for the members and beneficiaries of the Scheme. Therefore, the Trustee wishes to ensure that their records include all members and beneficiaries so that the correct benefits are insured. Following the end of the 2-month period referred to above, the Trustee will proceed with the insurance of the Scheme’s benefits, having regard only to the claims and interests of the members and beneficiaries they are aware of at the date of this notice and any other parties of which they have received notice during the subsequent two-month period.
